One of “Hohenstein’s” major achievements with regard to textile quality assessments is the co-development of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The institute was one of the founders of the internationally operating certification system in 1992, and is still the only official member of the International Association for Research and Testing in the field of Textile Ecology (Oeko-Tex) in Germany.
